Went and saw Stranger Than Fiction last night. Don’t let the trailers fool you into thinking it’s a Will Ferrell goofy comedy. It’s a lovely, smart, funny, touching movie. The attention to detail. The story. The cast. The acting. The scenery out the window. Everything. Perfect.
I’m going to go out on a limb and put it on my list of perfect movies. There’s not many movies I think of as perfect:
Amelie. Perfect.
Raging Bull. Perfect.
Wizard of Oz. Perfect.
Corrina, Corrina. Might sound crazy… but it’s perfect.
What’s your perfect movie?

When Harvey Keitel tells her to “Go…just go…”…aw geez
I agree that Amelie is a really good movie. I also love “Life is Beautiful” and “The Pianist”. They are both very powerful, and great for the Remembrance Month.
My list would include:
Manhattan
Out of Sight
The Snapper
Duck Soup
and one recent addition, Inarritu’s Babel, which is simply remarkable
Out of Sight is a fantastic movie.
i’ve been known to whine about how i’d just about kill to live in the color-adjusted Paris of Amelie…
The Princess Bride
Say Anything
Notorious (Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, I mean come on!?!)
The Philadelphia Story
That’s all I got off the top of my head
I totally agree with you about “Corrina,Corrina”.When I was in 6th grade I watched that movie everyday after school for 2 weeks(it was on HBO for a while)and cried almost every time.
The only perfect movie I can think of right now is “Dancer in the Dark”.
Here are some of the films I LOVE:
Roman Holiday
Amelie
The Color Purple
How about, That thing you do…
fun movie!!!
i have to second and third the votes for Amelie and add Breakfast on Pluto. V for Vendetta and Sin City (though not warm fuzzies) border this category because, upon watching them again lacked the thrill of the first viewing, though still good.
Last Life in the Universe – Go see it.
The Royal Tenenbaums – Yup.
Yes, and Amelie, too.
