Hearts on Noses

Hearts on Noses pig sanctuary is in desperate need of volunteers!! If you are able to visit the sanctuary and pitch in then please e-mail Janice.

If you aren’t able to lend a hand on the farm then why not sponsor a pig? 🙂

Janice also has a piggy wish list. If you can help out with any of it I’m sure one of the pigs will give you a sloppy kiss thank you.  🙂

Food and Medicine

• Large quantities of fresh fruit and veggies (not spoiled) (large bags ex. 25lbs carrots, apples)
• Mazuri pot bellied pig food
• Vegetarian dog food (and treats) – common brands: natural balance, ami-dog, technical, medical
• Horse pellets
• Quality hay, straw and Alfalfa
• Tetra packs of soymilk
• Medicine-Recovery capsules/tablets

Piggy Homes and Pen Maintenance

• Wool Blankets
• Bedding hay and straw
• Rubber back bath mats  (doorways to sheds)
• Large area rugs (house pigs)
• Wood baby pens, day bed, or cribs to be converted to inside pens
• Shavings by the bundles
• Baking soda for cleaning
• Plastic manure forks, spades
• Wheelbarrows

Landscape and Building Materials

• Plywood
• Treated – 2×4’s, 2×6’s and 4×4 posts
• Fence post toppers to protect posts from rotting
• Stuccor wire-by roll
• Clear fiberglass sheets (rain roofs)
• Sand, crusher rock, bark mulch by the unit
• Large cement pavers (2’ x 2’ minimum)
• Hay and produce storage sheds
• Tools: handsaw, hammer, hacksaw, pruning tools

Transport
