My husband and I took the morning off to see this movie. It was great! My husband’s band has a song called “I wanna be Spock” so for him it was an almost mystical experience.

Ha, ha: in the 80s I was in a short-lived comedy band called Happy Noise, and I wrote a song called “George Takei Wants Me Dead”* for them.
Unfortunately, we never got round to doing it.
*absolutely nothing against George–that was just some weird thing that my kid brother said…I have no idea why
